HILLTOPSAR
History of HillTop Serch and Rescue
Welcome to my journey in the world of mantrailing with Bloodh! It all began in late 2008 when I was transporting a Bloodhound for a rescue and crossed paths with Patsy Hargis, who was involved in Mantrailing with Nashville OEM. Intrigued by the idea of training my own Bloodhound, I jumped in headfirst and became a proud member of the Sumner County EMA and the Sheriff's Office. Now, as I train my 7th Bloodhound, Jesse, I look forward to learning how she works.
I have since moved to Virginia, where I am an auxiliary deputy with the Shenandoah County Sheriff's Office. They utilize my K9 for SAR missions. I am also blessed to work and train with the following communities every week. Fauquier County Sheriff's Office, Warren County Sheriff's Office, Culpeper County Sheriff's Office, Manassas Park Police Department, UVA PD, Charlottesville PD, and others.
In the past, I have trained HRD Bloodhounds for water recovery, and I serve on the NNCDS board as treasurer.
We have been utilized in many SAR cases along with misdemeanor and felony cases throughout my career.
